An American born and bred, Tommy Dean has the unique edge of being an American who understands Australia, its audiences and above all what makes us laugh. He has proved to be incredibly popular with audiences across the nation and is firmly established as one of Australia's most sought after comic performers and writers.
In much demand on the live circuit, Tommy is a regular headline act in comedy venues around Australia and has performed in many of the leading comedy clubs in the USA. His vast experience encompasses New Zealand, North America, Europe and South East Asia.
If it's truly great comedy of an international standard and perspective that you want, then look no further than Tommy Dean and his partner in this double feature, Nick Sun.
Nick Sun emerged from the suburbs of Sydney during 2004, he has quickly become one of the hottest comedy prospects in the world. In early 2004 Nick decided to enter the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's new talent competition "Raw Comedy". He proceeded to cruise through the Heats, Semi Final and take out the State Final for New South Wales. From there he was selected to contest the National Final in Melbourne which he went on to win convincingly. He went across to Edinburgh Fringe Festival and entered the UK's top comedy competition "So You Think You're Funny".
Nick took on the best the UK had to offer and went on to become the national champion of that event as well. This resulted in a unique double for Nick winning both Australian and UK's top comedy competitions in the same year – an amazing feat not before achieved.
He has since performed at the prestigious, invite only "Just For Laughs" Comedy Festival at Montreal, performed in the US and returned to the UK for a full season of shows at Edinburgh in 2005.
