Scared Weird Little Guys

Big Laugh Comedy Festival and A-List Entertainment present Mindless Stupidity for the Thinking Person

"impressively musical... Great entertainers... Screamingly funny..." The Scotsman

Mindless Stupidity for the Thinking Person is the new show from the Scared Weird Little Guys and after sell-out runs in 2005, it is set for a huge year in 2006. It’s jam packed with what the Scaredies do best, combining hilarious songs, absurd musical challenges and corny puns, all performed with their trademark stunning harmonies and musicianship.

The Scared Weird Little Guys are John Chaplin-Fleming & Rusty Berther. Their first show was at the Hilton Comedy Room in Melbourne in 1990 and was a tryout spot. It didn’t take long for the Scaredies to burst on to the live comedy scene in a frenzy of harmony and hilarity and broken guitar strings.

They have performed in many festival programs, corporate and private functions, public seasons, comedy clubs, childrens festivals and public humiliations. They have appeared on every major television show in the last ten years. The guys have been regulars at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival where their consistently sold out shows are testament to them being one of Australia’s most talented, exciting and sought after acts.

Since beginning their career in 1990 the Scared Weird Little Guys have been performing shows in all sorts of venues, with an impressive 3500 shows in 7 countries to their credit. Each year they have been nominated and awarded whole array of awards recognizing their brilliance including 2004 ARIA award winner of ‘Best Comedy Release – Bits and Pieces’ and 2000 Mo Award winner of ‘Comedy Group of the Year’.

Whether you’re highbrow, lowbrow or thick bushy monobrow, the Scaredies will crassify the erudite and tutorise the idiotic.
